The Food Forest of Casa do Tempo

An ecosystem that grows slowly and teaches us to do the same. The Edible Forest is the living heart of Casa do Tempo, and it was the beginning of this project.

A regeneration project that transforms the soil, restores biodiversity, and teaches us to observe nature as our teacher.

The forest was designed to grow in harmony, like an organism where everything feeds each other: plants, animals, insects, the soil, and ourselves. To implement the dream of creating a food forest, we  are working with the true experts in Portugal: Luis and Laura the founders of  Biggest Mini Forest.

A food forest is not a vegetable garden

It is an ecosystem designed to become resilient and self-sustaining over time. These densely planted islands of biodiversity combine horticultural species, fruit trees, perennials, and "trees of the future," creating a natural balance that enriches the soil, attracts wildlife, and resists climate change.
